  I'd give this place 5 stars for great food, nice servers etc. BUT the chefs are slow as heck. They put the food up on the sushi bar and leave it sit for 10 minutes... oops that's an eat in order. Food takes FOREVER. But just order appetizers when you sit down and you'll be fine.

  Absolutely LOVE going to Sudie's. One of my favorite places to go. Great food, great customer service! Love going there with my friends and having a great time. Always a great experience.

  We went as part of Restaurant Week and, wow, this was probably the single best restaurant 'experience' we have had in Charleston. Beautiful, historic site nicely renovated, warm bar with on-request drinks, spectacular food, especially the appetizers and beef Wellington. Totally professional and friendly service finished off by amazing desserts. Pricey, but worth it and perfect for special events.

  Been wanting to come here since I moved up in December for the daily crawfish special only to get served the tiniest, DIRTIEST crawfish alive!
  
  Those little guys were "LOADED!" Clearly they were not purged before entering the water that curiously lacked any kind of seasoning.
  
  I'll stick to catfish if I decide to come back.
